In order to carry out its activities in relation to the selection, processing, standardisation and packaging of its products, the Agricultural Association of Taxiarhis has 2,600 m² of privately-owned facilities, which include storage space, a packing room, the Association’s administrative offices and buildings, and facilities for the disinsectisation of its products, which has been approved by the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food. It employs 3 permanent administrative and technical staff members and 3 temporary administrative and technical staff members. Throughout the year, the Association employs 120 – 200 seasonal workers in order to meet the needs of the production process.

      The Association has modern equipment for carrying out the various stages of product processing. The Association applies the HACCP system in its packaging unit and is in the process of obtaining ISO 9001:2000 certification for the processes associated with standardising and packaging dried figs, as well as the AGRO 1 & 2 systems.
